BAD BOSS: LM INC / LIPMONTHLY / SPICY SUBSCRIPTIONS / BRYDEN FERRATO (36 WRIGHT STREET, UNIT 2., ST.

A former employee states that BRYDEN FERRATO refuses to clean the workplace for LIPMONTHLY, an online subscription subsidiary of LM INC (the other which is called SPICY SUBSCRIPTIONS). The workplace is disorganized and intolerable for the picking/packing that is required. During the employee’s tenure, neither BRYDEN FERRATO or his manager ALEX JENKINS have ever cleaned the bathroom, won't provide brooms to clean the floors, won’t provide garbage bins for the garbage, won’t provide bins for the cardboard or recycling, and won’t clean work tables.

The former employee states that they have left the job due to these health and safety issues. When the former employee was initially hired, they were told work would happen in a small warehouse. The work-space that LM INC and its subsidiaries occupied was instead only a storage unit at 36 Wright Street, Unit #2 in St. Catharines. There was no fresh air in the unit, and the metal door had to be kept raised to ensure airflow. The storage unit itself is owned by BRYDEN and his account manager, BRIAN MCGILL.

The former employee states the major issues as follows:

1. Lack of proper scheduling. It was very difficult to get BRYDEN FERRATO to prepare a proper schedule. Even his manager ALEX JENKINS could not seem to accomplish this.

2. Not being provided the tools to do the job. Lack of ability to provide proper amounts of labels, products to pack, or even communicate how many boxes are needed for each order. It should not be difficult for an employer to provide a master list of all the customers who have ordered, such that ordering process can be tracked and documented.

3. Safety issues. Lack of garbage and recycling disposal; cardboard and packaging is left all over the floor and is a slipping hazard. BRYDEN FERRATO does not provide proper containers to put packaging and products, or implements like brooms with which to sweep the floor. The former employee has previously suffered back and hip injuries due to similar issues at other businesses and is alarmed at the disregard for safety at LM INC. Bathrooms and tables are subsequently never cleaned.

4. Illegal shift-length and unpreparedness. BRYAN FERRATO wastes employees time, and has them come in for only 1 1/2 to 2 hours of work before being sent home because he's not properly prepared with the product to pack, labels etc.

5. Disorganization. Products and boxes never organized. The storage unit is filled with items randomly placed all over. The former employee states that it is a ‘treasure hunt’ to find the correct items to do their job.
