The tenant asserts that SKRTICH LIVING has put no cleaning measures in place for COVID-19. While some of their shiny new buildings are getting cleaned professionally by staff members, at some locations tenants are expected to clean high-risk high-traffic common areas without pay and without PPE necessary for dealing with COVID-19.
The tenant explains that one of their neighbours said he was reimbursed for some of the supplies to clean the property common areas, but when he asked SKRTICH LIVING why the company-hired cleaners weren't helping clean high-traffic high-risk areas, he was told it was not their responsibility. SKRTICH LIVING has not cleaned common areas since the tenant moved in, and the maintenance and cleanliness of high-traffic high-risk common areas has fallen on tenants alone.

I have lived in a few of Skrtich’s student houses. In all the buildings I have lived in, site staff clean the halls and lobby areas but it is up to all roommates to keep their apartments cleaned by working together. I dont think it’s a landlords job to clean peoples kitchen and living space. I think the only building that Skrtich cleans each apartment is the new building but tenants pay for that extra service. This article doesnt make sense.
